One of the goals of Edward White Hospital is to achieve the highest possible quality service, safely delivered, in a personalized manner.  Achieving quality means the continuous improvement of service and safety to meet the needs and expectations of the patients, physicians, employees, payors and the community we serve.

The Leadership of Edward White Hospital encourages the reporting of any concerns about patient care and safety in the hospital so we may provide the highest quality of care possible. Individuals, including patients and their families, patient advocates and advocacy groups, physicians and staff members are encouraged to report quality and safety concerns to administration by calling 727-328-6133.  

Edward White Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission, an independent, not for profit national body that oversees the safety and quality of health care and other services provided in accredited organizations.  Concerns regarding the safety and quality of care provided by Edward White Hospital may be provided directly to the Joint Commission.

The Joint Commission also has a toll-free hotline to provide patients, their families, caregivers, and others with an opportunity to share concerns regarding quality of care issues at accredited health care organizations.

The toll-free number is (800) 994-6610 and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; however, staff members are available to answer calls only on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Edward White Hospital takes no disciplinary or punitive action against employees, physicians or other individuals who provide care, treatment and services when they report quality of care concerns to The Joint Commission.
